"I'm a human being, goddamnit! My life has value!" After 40 years, the "Mad As Hell" speech from Network is more relevant than ever

Top Comment: People should watch the whole movie. This happens at the very beginning, and the rest of the movie is about the network using his the popularity of this speech to turn a profit. That's why Faye Dunnaway is so happy and William Holden is sad. She sees dollar signs and he knows his friend's nervous breakdown on live tv is not actually news and can only mean trouble. Being mad at the current state of the world will always be relevant and more popular than actually reporting on the details of the problems. Network is a great movie to do a high school quality book report on if anybody is looking for something to analyze. You could do four pages double spaced easy.
